Tanzanian bodybuilder shines in Classic contest. March 11th, 2010 - Tanzania's bodybuilder David Nyombo has claimed the 4th spot in the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Contest held in Columbus Ohio, USA recently. Nyombo was the only contestant from East Africa and the only African to sail through to the final. Nyombo is set to fly back on March 21 after attending a 2-week seminar. Arnold Classic. March 8th, 2010 - Sub-saharian Africa was represented by 4 athletes from 2 countries at the just concluded Arnold Sports Festival. David Nyombo Mkombi, Tanzania, placed 4th in the Lightweight category. Odum Pinigey (Bantamweight), Abdulrasaq Kazeem (Lightweight) and Ekpe David Egbonyi (Middleweight) represented Nigeria. Nyombo off to US for World contest. March 2nd, 2010 - Tanzania's bodybuilder David Nyombo has finally departed for the US to compete in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic World Bodybuilding Championship slated for March 4. Nyombo reiterated his ambition to shatter more country's bodybuilding records, saying he was delighted to be the first Tanzanian to participate in the world championship.
