PLACE OF BIRTH:
Abidjan Adjamé, Côte d'Ivoire

PRESENT HOME:

He looks like his elder brother Souleymane Fofana who was crowned Mr Côte d'Ivoire twice in the national bodybuilding championships held in 1994 and 1995. He placed second in the Light Weight Division (<75 kg) at the Mr Côte d'Ivoire held in San Pedro last September 3rd, 2006. "Madou", as his friends call him, is today one of the most promising young bodybuilders in Côte d'Ivoire. We met him at Training Center, a modern gym in Abidjan Plateau, where he works as a trainer.

I started bodybuilding very early thanks to my brother Souley who inspired me. He has now moved to the USA and has retired from bodybuilding, but I still have this passion and I want to become a champion like him. Presently, the main purpose in my training is to add some muscle mass in my body to be able to achieve my goals. My coach, friend and advisor is now Ablo, who works with me at Training Center. He's always ready to assist me and give me useful training and posing advice. Ablo is a pro, he won the National Bodybuilding Championship in 2005 and was the runner-up in 2006.

I don't have any fixed program for my training, since I must always be available for the gym's customers when they are around. But generally I train at least 4 times in a week, either morning or afternoon. I try to eat 4 meals every day, but sometimes it's difficult to follow such a regimen and I only eat 2 meals in a day. My favourite meals are rice and Attiéké, which is a delicious ivorian product made from fermented cassava. I also like and eat a lot of fruits, especially bananas, but I don't like pineapple and orange. My favourite champ: Ronnie Coleman.

It was noted in an article that your brother Souleymane went to America but has retired from body building. Do you know what he is doing with his life now?Are other members of your family also in America?

I have some information and family pictures I would like to send to Madou. Is there an address available for him or a way to chat with Madou directly online? Keep up the good work Madou, your good spirit shines in your smile!
