The Kampala Central Indoor Powerlifting contest organized by the Body Flex Gym and Muscle Meddy Fitness was held on 9th October, 2009 at the BodyFlex Gym.

It featured 13 Junior, disabled and senior lifters from Kampala central division.

Edward Mugerwa emerged the senior’s middleweight winner, Billy Ssengendo the men’s disabled winner, Ronald Ssendago the juniors’ winner and Vasity Kyalimpa was unchallenged in the disabled ladies’ category.

The panel of judges included; Kalyango Zubael, Lukwago charles and Rogers Kintu.

Lifters from the central division used this event to tune up for the national championships in December 2009.
