Valmont is a Congolese young man with a slim and muscular body and a strong and powerful look. As a keen and devoted bodybuilder, Valmont trains regulary at "Sydney Gym" in Brazzaville, where the NTP-Africa staff met him. Quiet and discreet but confident and personable, Valmont is not of those who talk too much. Here's what he had to say!


I started boydbuilding in 1997 thanks to one of my uncles who's a bodybuilder himself. When I watched him during his training I admired his muscular body and I wanted to become like him. I started lifting weights and I even participated in a power lifting contest in 2008, where I scored a 1st place in my weight division (60-67 kg).

I train 6 times in a week. I often change my training routine which in fact is always different and it varies according to my mood and the way I feel my physical condition on a particular day. When I don't train, on my spare time, I like to teach bodybuilding to the small boys as a voluntary instructor. I also like to watch movies, listen to music and dancing.
