Matt, where are you from?
I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Have you already been to Ghana?
No I have yet to come to Ghana or Africa, my Father was born in Ghana. So I have lots of family there whom I have not been able to meet yet. Hopefully I'll get the chance to go to Ghana very soon.
Well we hope anyway... would you come to Ghana next December and be our special Guest at the MuscleMania West Africa?
Yes of course I would love to come and guest pose at the Musclemania West Africa show. I know I would have a great time out there!

What about your competition history? and what comes ahead?
I have competed in the following shows
- 2005 Musclemania Canadian Championships Toronto, ON, Canada 2nd Place Middle weight division
- 2005 Musclemania World Championships, Hollywood, CA, USA 6th Place Welter weight division
- 2006 Musclemania Canadian Championships Toronto, ON, Canada 3rd Place Heavyweight division
In my most recent contest I got to compete against Ghana's own Michael Kwao, in which I placed 3rd to. He was in great shape and definitely deserved to win! Here's some pics of us on stage during pre judging. As for what comes ahead, I plan on competing in some spring/summer shows in 2007.
When we look at some of your 2003 pics, it's amazing to see what you have achieved! What advice can you give to people who want to lose fat and get ripped like you have done?
Thank you, well the best advice I can give to anyone who wants to lose bodyfat and tone up is: To eat a clean healthy diet year round. Do cardio at least 4 days a week. You have to be consistent with your training, and your diet. Some people train really hard in the gym, but then their diet just is not up to par with their training. So you are basically wasting your time in the gym, if you don't eat the proper meals along with your training.

Tell us about your training methods!
Well there's nothing special about my training methods, its all pretty basic and straight forward. I do however tend to train more in the high rep range. For each set I do, I usually do a minimum of 15 reps, and I tend to do a lot of drop sets as well. I'm a big believer in getting a good pump. You also have to train for your body type, some people have big thick joints. Which will alow them to train very heavy. Other people like me have very tiny joints, and for people like me with tiny joints, it's best to train with more moderate weight, in the high rep range. At least that's what works for me!
And what about your nutrition, what food and supplements do you prefer?
My nutrition/food/supps is pretty straight forward as well. Foods I tend to eat the most are: chicken breasts, brown rice, ground beef, steak, salad, veggies, oatmeal, tuna, salmon. Cheat foods I like to eat are: cheese cake, pizza, and KFC! Supplements I use are all basic. Whey protein, multi vitamins, tribulus, vanadly, niacin, k-b herb.
Do you eat African food?
My dad is from Ghana, so I am used to eating African foods. I just don't know the names of them! I do love the food though!
What is your job? How do you spend your spare time?
I currently work as a Freight Broker, for a major Transportations company which operates here in Canada, and in the US. I'm also in the process of getting my real estate license, so I can become a realtor. Well I don't really have any spare time, but when I get the chance I usually spend it with my friends.
