Power Gym is located at Rambel Road-Abeka Lapaz - Accra. It has about 50 members. The owner is Daniel T. Mensah. He started about 10 years ago with only one bench, two dumbells, an inclined bench and one squatting rack. The first members to join were Musah, uncle T. Cyborg, Papa Sly and Ebow.

Cyborg has one of the most impressive, massive bodies among Power Gym members.

Local Gyms African Style

Power gym started as an individual gym with just one bench and some few scrap metals as weight by Musah about some few years ago. In spite of all the challenges from people and even relatives, Power gym continued to be in existence. After sometimes, the number increased to five. They included Cyborg, Musah, Uncle T, Sly and Ebow. They then decided to add some few other equipments like Squatting stand, few barbells, leg press and dumbells which were all improvised by themselves. Today Power gym can boast of over 50 registered members. Out of these, some few are now professional bodybuilders who contested in national shows. Current Ghana's Strongest Man for 2006 Cyril Adja is from Power Gym.
