NTPowerHouse, October 2006
From 2nd to 7th October 2006 NTPowerHouse has celebrated its first Anniversary. For a year we have tried and done our best to promote fitness and a bodybuilding lifestyle in Ghana and Africa. Through this website we have shown the world how our guys train and enjoy the sport, often with limited and improvised equipments.

During one week NTPowerHouse GYM has opened its doors to all visitors free of charge. People visiting a gym for the first time in their life, or being training hard for a long time at a local gym have come, and our friendly and helpful staff has been there to assist, show how to use the equipments and discuss about the benefits of the sports.
Happy Birthday
The free training programme attracted people of all classes, all sizes and all ages.
The anniversary was not only about physical training but also a medical orientation to the participants on basic drugs for fat burn, weight loss and muscle building. This was brought by the kind courtesy of "Health World" a fitness pharmacy shop situated at Osu in Accra. Health world was presented by Daniel and took everybody through several experiments including electronic massage and fat burn machines.
The ultimate of all the activities was the mass aerobics on Saturday morning which was patronized by over 40 participants led by Nana, an aerobics instructor from Physique Fitness Centre, Osu. The aerobics, which started at 7:30 am and ended at 9:00 am, was so tiresome that a few of the participants abandoned the pleasure and the excitement.

All visitors were systematically taken through the equipments by Lazgo and Sense who challenged them to consider fitness as a way of life and a tool to healthy life style. People with overweight were introduced to the fitness machines like the stationary bike, Star toper, airforcer etc.
Daniel of Health World said: "Are you aware that 50% of the world's population is in the sub-health status condition 25% of the world's population is sick 33% of the Ghanaian population is hypertensive which they don't even know. Do you know that most of the things we take for granted such as alcohol, cigarette, the polluted air we inhale, poor eating habits have adverse effect on the system and organs in our body? The only solution to these problems is to ensure you take part in active physical exercise and it must be done regularly."
The assemblyman who oversees the Teshie-Bush Road where NTPowerHouse GYM is located (Ledzokuku Constituency-Ashitey Akomfra Ward) Mr. James Ayiku Narh also visited with his men. On his visit, he could not help himself when he set his eyes on his favourite sports arena "boxing" than to attack the punching bag with his amazing punches. He described the gym as a gym with class. He promised to use his office to convince the government to rehabilitate the road from Accra leading to the Bush Road. He advised participants to make fitness an integral part of their everyday life.
Mary, our chef, was very busy at the kitchen! In fact people did not only come to train but also patronised the snack bar-restaurant.
