Hi, Edward is my name. I was born and bread in Accra I lived with my parents until I have completed school and started my bodybuilding life. I begun my sports life with tennis and then developed the interest for bodybuilding. I started bodybuilding at the age of 19 and continued till date. I was doing power lifting and later shifted to bodybuilding after the 1994 Strongest Man competition in Kumasi.
Before I started bodybuilding I contested in Ghana's Strongest Man competition in Kumasi in 1993 and 1994, which I placed 2nd in both contest. I then shifted to bodybuilding and contested in the 1997 Mr Ghana Contest and placed 3rd. The following year (1998) I contested again and placed 3rd. I never gave up but contested in the 1999 show and became victorious and that year I was Crowned Mr Ghana 1999 in August. I then represent Ghana in the Mr Universe competition in U.K. on the first of October 1999 and Placed 8th. In that same month I contested in Musclemania U.K. And placed 4th in the heavy Weight division.
Due to reasons be young my control I could not contest again. I now work as a fitness instructor at Aviation Social Centre but hope to contest again in both local and international events.
I eat five times a day during training season and three times during off-season. I eat normal Ghanaian dishes but makes sure it is in the right proportion of a balanced diet.
My hobby is cycling and listening to music. I enjoy tourism and travelling on a motorcycle with Friends. I don't like clubbing neither do I drink alcoholic drinks. I am most of the time alone and hardly talk. I am a father of two beautiful girls.
Ronnie Coleman is my role model. My advice for the youth: bodybuilding is about personal development; it gives you good health and long term fitness. It makes you disciplined and productive. So I will urge all tom, dick and hurry to embrace it. It helps fight against common diseases like malaria, diabetes, stroke etc.
