17 September 2006 - In spite of facing some major challenges, with less than three weeks to go before Jamaica is set to host the 34th Central American and Caribbean Body Building and Fitness Championships, the Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Jamaica says pulling out is not an option. Jamaica accepted the task of hosting more than two years ago, and progress has been hit by disasters such as Hurricane Ivan, with companies retracting agreed pledges. Coordinator for the event, Carol Taylor, says some commitments have been made, but even if they are fulfilled the association will still need to raise more than two million dollars.
